The recumbent approach (sitting back) offers unparalleled comfort that makes them perfect for long rides and touring. Plus, the riding position on the KMX Kart gives you a more aerodynamic profile for greater speed with less effort. On traditional upright bikes, your pedal force is limited to body weight and strength of pull against the handlebars. With recumbent bikes/karts pedalling force is maximized since you can push against the seat back for full leg-power. With recumbents you’ll find you see more of the world around you - not just the ground - with a more comfortable viewing angle to enjoy the scenery flying by.

With KMX Karts the low centre-of-gravity, low ground clearance and feet-first positioning also reduce the risk of serious injury. Since there aren’t any handlebars to fly over there’s also a much lower chance of a head injury.

PLEASE NOTE : all KMX Karts require part-assembly. They are simple to assemble but some degree of experience of bicycle maintenance/assembly is needed to put the karts together. If you are not confident of putting together your KMX kart you can always take it to a local bicycle shop and they would normally only charge a minimal fee for assembly. We can also offer advice on assembly for our customers and will soon have a downloadable instruction leaflet available here
